It is said that
literature acts as a guide for human beings. The forms of literature like
novel, drama, poetry or even film are an inevitable part of human life.
Literature spreads thoughts and thoughts shapes character. Several books and
movies have been an epitome in developing the thoughts and transforming the
lives of people.
The present article is
an analysis of the ideas and thoughts presented in the Gujarati movie Reva – A
Journey Within (2018). The tag-line of the movie itself suggests that this
movie is based on transformation of the self which we may call Parikrama. Parikrama
of Reva as well as Parikrama of thoughts and ideas. The concept of developing
the self has been depicted through facial expressions, small but rich dialogues
and characters in the movie. A short tempered, atheist and money minded person
changed his mind; faith created its own room in the mind of Karan. Nature has
its own role to develop the self and cultivate new ideas.
