Human being work hard to earn for a living in order to meet the basic
needs for food, shelter and many other physical as well as psychological needs
.although everyone has to work hard to earn a living but it is not necessary
that everyone is satisfied with his or job according to the interest.
Vocational interest is a tendency of a person towards the possible vocational
choices and goal. Vocational interest of the students depends upon the
knowledge, attitudes, values, physical characteristics and environmental
influences. Vocational interest is the most enduring and compelling area of
individual differences and the most popular means for characterizing, comparing
and matching person and environment. The present study deals with the
comparative analysis of the vocational interest of government and
non-government higher secondary school students and also between girls and
boys. Descriptive method of survey was employed for conduct of present study. A
sample of 120 students were selected from both government and non -government
school which includes both boys and girl. The data were analyzed with the help
of mean, standard deviation and t-test to study the vocational interest of
higher secondary student. The study provides better understanding for teachers
and parents to aware about the career choices of our children vocational life.
