Abstract:

Culture has music as its component. It is discerned as Primitive / Tribal music, Folk music, Devotional Music, Classic music and Mass music. Primitive music is referred to as Ethnomusic if it is performed by a group. Primitive music is entirely based on rituals. Music such as this relies purely on rhythm rather than melody. Ethnic groups are not all privileged. In this way, the study focuses on the Ethnomusic instrument with the most backward ethnic group. The Ethnomusic instrument which gave music over the years is endangered. The social factors are needs to be identified. Today there is an unmanageable state of recovery of this Ethnomusic instrument, but in 1869 this Ethnomusic instrument which had been preserved by offering one Nazhi glass of rice, betel, INR.24 for programs and INR.9 levied as tax. It is now lifeless without a musician. The instrument Pavuni is alive without the musicianship to strum. By implying observation and cultural technological assessment the hypothesis conceived that the metaphysical, social, economic and cultural status conferred on the rise of the underprivileged population has declined due to lack of individuality, time and capacity(skill).
