Abstract:

Real-life situations and its’ sudden demands are very different from our systematic planned approach. No doubt planning has a significant role to play in the school’s curriculum and in achieving the aims and objectives of our curriculum framework. But Curriculum also points towards the efficiency of such skills where planning doesn’t work, tools become ineffective and measurement becomes impossible. In such situations, the mental process takes charge, and the skill of estimation comes to the scene. Usually, measurement has an upper hand on estimation, because students, as well as teachers, always move towards precision. However, it is noteworthy that every measure is an estimate and no tool is perfect to measure the infinite division of an object or an event. Estimation of different physical attributes such as length of an object, the mass of an object, and Time duration of an event is feasible. This paper is restricted to the estimation of the time duration of an event. Vision is the sensation for estimation considered in this paper. Policymakers, curriculum framers, textbook authors, teachers, parents, students, and the environment have a very imperative role in enhancing the skill of time estimation.
