21st century is the period of
challenges and competitions for our students. The main purpose of education is
to give better learning to our students. Rightly said by Albert Einstein that
Education is not the learning of facts, but training of mind to think. The
review of related literature suggests how a growth mindset is instrumental in
student’s academic performance. Since long we have been trying to look for
various methods and strategies for better learning, but actually it is the
belief in the capacity of an individual to learn and grow. Belief in learning
is more important than the capacity to learn. It is the mindset of a student
that has the great influence on learning. There is a need to understand the
relationship between learning and brain training. This paper attempts to
explore about our mindset, fixed mindset and growth mindset, the difference
between both the types of mindsets and the strategies to develop a growth
mindset which is helping immensely in creating successful citizens of a nation.
