‘Virus
has no national identity’ this statement has truly signifies when a new deadly
virus COVID-19 has been emerged in the world. COVID-19 creates a greater
challenge of all the spheres in the human lives basically it creates threat for
the human life all of the countries in the world. Because lack of the available
vaccine to stop spreading of this virus, all countries announced lock down to
save the human life from this deadly virus. In India, Prime Minister Narendra
Modi announced a nationwide lockdown for the first time on March 24 for 21 days
but later on it was extended. In this period people face a drastic change of
their life. This lockdown creates change their daily life style. All of the
sections face a difficult situation in this period. But particularly
marginalised sections face a lot. However women are the worst sufferer during
this lockdown period. Although government tries to save the human life through
the lock down but in reality women are not safe inside the home. They face an
insecurity in health, financial and psychic –social way. It creates increasing
violence among women in the domestic sphere. Simply call that women face a
greater human rights violation. Thus, government of India has been implement
certain steps try to cope up this situation during the lockdown period. In this
context, this paper attempts to analysis this issue.
