IMPORTANCE OF LIFE SKILLS EDUCATION THROUGH INDIAN TALES IN ACADEMICS FOR CHILDREN UPTO 15 YEARS

Abstract:

Life skills are the skills that help an individual to adjust and adapt to the challenges that are faced by them everyday. Decision Making, Problem-Solving, Self Starter, Communicative Skills are few of the essential skills that should be learned by the kids to excel in their life while they are growing.  StoryTelling enhances the Creative Ability, Cognitive Ability, Mental and Social development, Resilience of children. With the help of Stories we can build the character of kids and make them learn life skills which would be building blocks for the personality to become great citizens. This paper is mainly focused on imparting life skills through the medium of stories to the children by making them mandatory in the formal education system .
