Authors:

Ravi Sabavat

Abstract:

India has been associated with the UN since its formation in 1945.It began its contribution as a part of Common wealth Nations and went on to contribute after independence till now. In its 75 year long and rich association, it becomes important to study its successes and failures to assess the veracity of it staking claim for a permanent membership in the UNSC. India’s contribution at diplomatic level has been that of interplay between the alignment of international principles on security and peace and its own interests over a period of time. Often big and small powers including the UNGA turned to India for its support.
