This scholarly investigation assesses the creation of equitable
and inclusive pedagogy under the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. Framing
education as a fundamental human right, this study describes the policy-based,
structural and pedagogical interventions required to promote a barrier-free
educational ecosystem at the primary and secondary levels. NEP 2020 emphasizes
“universalization of education”, which leads to a school culture that
recognizes the unique identity of every learner, but the transition from policy
rhetoric to classroom reality is hampered by systemic inertia and lack of
resources.
