Culturally Responsive Pedagogy (CRP) is a teaching methodology that
gives prominence to the different cultural backgrounds of students, thus
creating a learning environment that is more relevant, effective, and
inclusive. The article primarily focuses on the importance of CRP, underlining
how it helps teachers in promoting an understanding that is deeper among
students, thus, increasing engagement, and supporting academic success by
acknowledging students' cultural identities. Educators who use CRP can create
classroom environments that honour or appreciate diversity, reduce through
these practices, and thus, support equity. This article is about the basic
ideas of CRP and its relevance to the increasingly diverse classrooms of today,
as well as the benefits it offers to students' social-emotional development,
academic performance, and self-efficacy.
