WELFARE STATE

Abstract:

There is disagreement about the meaning of the concept of statehood as well as the nature and scope of the state. There has been a detailed and varied reflection on the concept of state. Ancient political philosophers as well as modern writings have thought about what the state is, the needs of the state, the nature of the ideal state. At one time, political science was defined as the science that studies state institutions. Naturally, the state became the central concept. Now, however, the state institution does not have such a unique place in political science. As ideas about political science changed, so did the emphasis on the study of state institutions. In recent times, most scholars prefer to study the actual political processes in any society without considering the state as an important factor for the convenience of study and concept-strategy. But the jurisdiction of the state, the origin of state power and its scope, the relationship between the individual and the state, the future of the state, etc. The issues are still important in terms of political philosophy.
