AN INVESTIGATION OF TEACHING COMPETENCE AND KNOWLEDGE OF INCLUSIVE EDUCATION OF PROSPECTIVE TEACHERS

Abstract:

This study aims to determine whether there is a relationship between Teaching Competency and Knowledge of Inclusive Education, also try to determine how these two variable Teaching Competency and Knowledge of Inclusive Education relate to Inclusive Education. This study was a descriptive survey. Total 104 students use as a sample. To know the Teaching Competency and Knowledge of Inclusive Education of Prospective Teachers’ researcher used Mean of their given responses. To acquire the Prospective Teachers’ responses regarding Teaching Competency and Knowledge of Inclusive Education researcher constructed a successful questionnaire by the expert opinion. To investigate the data investigator used Product Moment Correlation, Mean, SD and t- test. The study found the result that there is a Moderate Positive Correlation between Teaching Competence and Knowledge of Inclusive Education. In case of institution type, the investigator found that Prospective Teachers’ studying in Private and Government Colleges’ have the same degree of Teaching Competence and Knowledge of Inclusive Education. In case of Gender researcher also found that both (Male & Female) have the equal level of Teaching Competence and Knowledge of Inclusive Education.
