Abstract:

The National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 represents a substantial overhaul of India's educational structure, specifically in relation to higher education. This strategy implements a comprehensive, adaptable, interdisciplinary approach to promote analytical thinking, innovation, and moral principles among students. The NEP 2020 highlights the significance of incorporating vocational education, encouraging digital literacy, and developing research and innovation. To address the educational disparities and improve access to education in Chhattisgarh, a state characterized by a wide range of socio-economic conditions, this strategy seeks to construct additional Higher Education Institutions (HEIs), develop online learning platforms, and strengthen infrastructure. Primary endeavors encompass the advocacy for traditional languages, establishing a credit-based framework to facilitate adaptable learning, and the augmentation of faculty training programs to guarantee high-quality education. The policy's emphasis on fairness and the involvement of all individuals is anticipated to tackle differences in various regions, thereby enabling students from rural and tribal communities to have more power and opportunities. NEP 2020 aims to enhance the higher education system in Chhattisgarh by bringing it in line with international standards while also considering local culture and needs.
