Abstract:

According to UNICEF “Worldwide, nearly 1 in 4 girls between the ages of 15 and 19 are neither employed nor in education or training – compared to 1 in 10 boys.”Based on this, it can be said that gender inequality is also found in Labour force and Workforce participation globally.Gandhidham is the main trading centre of Kachchh and is one of the important contributor of the economic development of Kachchh. Therefore, Gandhidham has been selected as a research area in this study. This study seeks to quantify gender inequality in Labour force and Workforce participation ofGandhidham City.
