COST-BENEFIT RATIO OF KESAR MANGO PRODUCTION IN VALSAD DISTRICT

Abstract:

Mango is world famous and the king of the world of fruits. In order to check the possibility of economic gain through mango cultivation and How much economic benefit farmers get from mango production, information has been obtained through questionnaire method by selecting 30 farmers from two taluks of Valsad district who are producing Kesar mango. Various cost analysis and cost-benefit ratio methods have been used in the present research. According to this research study, the total cost of Kesar mango production per hectare is Rs 216727.28. While an income of Rs 737283.60 can be obtained from Kesar mango. The cost-benefit ratio of mango production is 3.4.
