There needs to be more studies to answer
whether the implication of e-governance in public service delivery has
strengthened good governance. This research paper attempts to evaluate
e-governance in the public service delivery process with the question of
whether it makes governance transparent and participatory. Among the different
e-initiatives in West Bengal, researchers have selected the 'Banglarbhumi Portal’
with which almost all citizens are associated for getting land-related
services. The researchers collected data from
100 respondents in the district
of Purba Bardhaman of West Bengal to unearth the answer to the question
mentioned above with a semi-structured questionnaire. It provided ample
opportunity to measure the performance of e-initiatives in governance.
